The Multi Schools Council returned to Braxted Park, Essex, in June 2026 for their United in Diversity event, bringing children with SEND from across the county together for a day of activities, from therapy dogs to a Fire Service tractor.
I’ve photographed this event for the Multi Schools Council since their inception, working in a documentary style that lets the day unfold without me getting in the way of it. My focus is on the children and the stand holders, capturing the activities as they happen rather than staging them.
This year’s event included stands from Ford, Essex County Council’s SEND careers advice service, Greater Essex Music Hub, Swift Brickwork Contractors, and NHS Inclusive Communication Essex. The photographs are used by the Multi Schools Council throughout the year for social media and to promote future events.
