Photographing Langley Distillery in Birmingham was a privilege, stepping into one of the world’s oldest working gin distilleries to capture both tradition and craftsmanship in every frame. The copper stills, with their polished curves and fine details, became sculptural subjects under the right light, each telling a story of heritage and precision. Beneath the surface, I documented the underground well that has supplied pure water for generations – a hidden element at the heart of their gin-making process. The final layer came from the botanicals, carefully arranged and shot to showcase their textures and natural beauty, revealing the essential ingredients that give each spirit its character. The result is a collection of images that reflect the authenticity and artistry behind Langley’s world-renowned distilling process.
